Why is learning to breathe so important to support a yoga practice?

I try to meditate but I just can not seem to stop my mind from racing. Is yoga for everyone?
Surprise! You already know how to meditate. It is the innate experience of simply getting lost or letting go. Our brain is a natural thinking organism, its job is to discern and interpret our lives. Through intentional breating practices meditation focuses the mind allowing clarity of thought and discovery of emotion. As feelings come and go they are simply watched not judged.
